Nightmare dealing with Restoration Hardware

I ordered 2 nightstands and a very large heavy chest from RH. The sales people in the store are courteous and very knowledgeable..But that good feeling stops there at the door. The chest is probably 400 lbs and large and bulky. The joke of a delivery company they use sent one Mexican midget and some guy who liked to hear himself talk and complain about everything including the company he works for. They could barely carry up the two end tables without falling or bashing into the walls. They called their dispatch to get more people and told me they would leave it in the front hallway area and then they would send more people to bring it upstairs...That never happened...I've called RH 8 times and each time the sales associate put me on hold for at least 25 minutes to come back to tell me it's been escalated and they will be sending some men. Never happened and never got a call.. Called again and told them I was having the contents of my house being moved into this new house tomorrow and this was in the way. ...Again "sir I will have to escalate this and call you back in couple of hours"...It's already 4:00? Are they kidding me...I told them I'd bring this piece out to the street for garbage pickup and won't pay for it either....She was totally robotic and actually said" thank you for calling RH and can I be of any other assistance to you?" HOLY ***.... where do they get these people from? ***, uncaring, oblivious, retarded, and clueless... I will NEVER BE BUYING FROM RH AGAIN....

Called customer service for furniture specs

The customer service rep I spoke with was incredibly rude about an item I had already purchased but have yet to receive, which customer service claims will be a different size than the website lists. She couldn't answer a simple question about the dimensions and was incredibly patronizing and snobbish in response. I asked to be transferred to someone else who answered my question rather easily but proceeded to be snobbish and rude as well about their mistake with the online listing. We have bought countless items from RH over the years and this experience inspires me to never buy from them again.

Restoration Hardware - Refund Policy Review from Atlanta, Georgia

Have waited over a month for a refund check that was sent to wrong address after specifically stating the billing address was a house that was closing on sale . I even called customer service to remind them to send check to my current shipping address . Customer service has told me the check will be reissued , after calling several times and getting the run-around I called the houston store manager , she then gave me a ups tracking ! The check should be here tomorrow crossing fingers they got the address right !!! Also , the distribution center sent the wrong color dresser ! Pain in the butt especially after spending 23,000 on furniture .

Poor customer service, no communication, not enough product information, long shipping delay

I ordered a faux fur dog coat; size XS. There were no product measurements at all when I ordered it but it was the very smallest they offered so I took a chance. My mistake. After about 2 weeks with no product, I sent an email inquiry wondering where it was. I never received a response. Then I called customer service only to be told the product was back-ordered. Why, I asked, wasn't I notified that it was back-ordered when I ordered it or even after the fact in an email? And why didn't anyone ever respond to my email inquiry searching for the product? I didn't get an answer to either question. The product arrived and it was far too big to be considered an extra small in any universe and so I immediately returned it. Since RH doesn't refund shipping charges, nor do they offer free return shipping, I ended up paying $23.39 for a product I couldn't use at all. Customer service is lacking and rude. I would have been much happier if I had been notified the product was back-ordered and I would have been even happier if I didn't have to pay any shipping for a product whose description was lacking. I only lost $23.39, but I wasted my time, wasted that $23.39 and certainly wasn't treated like a valued customer who wanted to spend money with RH. I won't shop with them again and will throw out all the catalogs they sent. What a waste of time and money! There are a million other online companies out there who value someone willing to spend money at their enterprise. I'll go there instead.

Greek Key Lamp Issues

I ordered a Greek Key Lamp that has now been replaced three times. The lamp is beautiful, but having said that I will not order any products online. If I can't walk out of the store with the product, I will not buy from RH. You would have expected after the third replacement I would receive some sort of discount. Here is the funny part, when I called RH to get the third replacement they said I could wait 7-10 days to have them test the lamp before it ships. Don't you think they should do that in first place?

No company has the time to test every item after it comes into the warehouse. That would be impossible and is extremely unrealistic to expect.

Now, likely they will check the third lamp because RH policy says if customer service reps see a repeat pattern to notify corporate and they will have numerous items in question checked for quality. But no there is no way you could have someone check every lamp that comes into the warehouse.
