Restoration hardware printmakers bed and dressers

This bed is made poorly with cheap wood. I am on my 2nd replacement in 2 months time. Both sets the wood has cracked. Terrible product. Do not buy!

Horrible experience

We bought all of our furniture from RH. The bill is messed up. They are missing refunds on there. They have not solved this issue eventhough we have been calling back and forth for the past 11 momths. What a waste of money.

We order 5 sconcesand 2 of them we're obviously used; scratched and looked worn. The customer service there is the worst. I was so disappointed in getting such poorly made items. They charge a fortune and now I go on Wayfair and find RH knockoffs for 1/3 price. Will never buy from them again.

Beware of Restoration Hardware

Purchased $4,000 leather sofa. Upon delivery found that legs had different color finishes, two dents with stretched leather on back, what appears to be oil spots on seat cushion, and visible scuff marks in several locations. Upon contacting customer service told could not replace because sofa type discontinued ( no prior notice of this), and best they could do is sell us new legs at $15.00 each. No price adjustment despite being unable to replace! Outrageous! Could have done better with a $500 sofa from Big Lots! Stay away from this supposedly "high end quality store" the only thing high end about it is the price!

Worst ever lying staff and customer services!!!!

Their designer at Houston Gallery lied to us that we should place the order right away when we just first visited the shop. The reason is in case they discontinued the item we want. It is not something cheap. It cost us $16,000. The designer told us not to worry because we can go back to change whatever we want in 90 days, even cancel the order if we wish, and nothing would be charged before they are ready to deliver the item. (Whatever she said is a big LIE!!!!) After we moved into our new place, we did all the measurement and decided to change our bed set to king size, so we went back to the gallery. She was not there, so we went to other designers for help. Here was all nightmares began. These two designers told us nothing can be changed because these were custom orders and they showed us we signed the agreement "3" times. I knew I signed it, because the designer told us it was just to confirm the order, nothing major. These two designers' attitudes were unbelievably awful. Kept showing us they assumed we were lying because they didn't believe their coworker would lie about this, especially that designer was so experienced.... Finally, they called their customer services and changed the order for us. After we went home, my girlfriend emailed the designer who placed the order for us and she replied and told us not to go to anyone else and please return to her, so she can get everything right for us. The appointment was 5pm and she let us wait until 5:30pm. After few phone calls, everything seemed right. Guess what, still not. The rule is half of the amount will be charged right after you place the order and for custom items, there is no refund of this deposit if you choose to return, which none of these was ever mentioned to us!!!! I called their customer services to complain about this designer's dishonesty behavior. Customer service staff seemed so understanding and even scheduled a time to call me back. Guess what, after more than a week, no one ever contacted me!!! This is how awful this company is. Think over again before you decide to throw in tons of money for the worst ever service experiences!!!!! I have not received my items and hopefully nothing will go wrong...

Bought a $2000 dining table and after four years and one move the mechanics to take it apart to allow it out the door busted. Called RH and they had no idea anything about the furniture they are even selling! It took 4 days and an email for them to send the mechanics of it and ... Oh wait nope they still haven't sent it two weeks later. Asked if I could get a partial refund and they are unsympathetic and condescending.

RH hasn't gave me my refund for the damage items that were never delivered contacted RH credit card to let them know and RH hasn't done anything to fix the issue at all and won't even return my call

Love the look, hate the service!

WE have bought over $20,000.00 from Restoration Hardware. I love the look, but it sure has been rocky. First we ordered the bar stools at $300 each and we ordered 5 you'd think they'd be great. Well all of the feet at the bottom have rust. WE had 2 chairs to sit on before they arrived. So I called and complained, they were more than willing to replace all of them. But I said, shouldn't we make sure first that the new ones don't have the same issue. I own my own business and I know how expensive shipping is, so I figured, I'd be nice and not have them replace all 5 if the next 5 have the same issue. So we agreed to replace 2 of the 5. They picked up the two I was returning, charged me for the two I was having shipped. (to this day I still can't tell if I have been overcharged with all the exchanges we've made) The two new ones arrive an sure enough they too have rust on the feet. So since I really loved the look, I said what the heck and kept them. Then we ordered 2 beds (king size) one for the master, and one for the guest room. Our bed came in just fine, so I'm thinking ok, first experience is just a fluke. Well the second bed arrived some time later and the center support boards didn't fit. No big deal, they left the bed here and ordered an replacement. Again, not sure everything was charged correctly, I've yet to have the time to review it all since we still aren't done. So before all of this furniture arrives, I have gone to the store and ordered a rug, a custom couch, a Library chair and ottoman and some other tables. Well the second bed shows up, I have my 82 year old parents coming to stay and am grateful that the guest room will have a bed. Well it too arrives and the center supports again are too short. Luckily, the very nice delivery man, uses some of our tools and we screw the two center supports together to make it work. They need to give that man a raise! Anyway, the couch comes in and the rug all is well. I see a sale so I buy a side table. I have the base but not stone top, have had the base for months. It is really hard to use a side table with out a top! And it looks really silly in your living room too! So finally, I fire off an email, I get a lovely email back saying they will get back to me by the 10 of September. I haven't heard a thing. So now it has been 4 months of a side table without a top. Here is my bottom line on all of this. The people they have in the stores or at least the ones we worked with are great. The furniture is really cool, but quality isn't what your paying for, rusted metal is only going to continue to rust. And rust is a weakness. When I called customer service, the really nice lady was helpful, but its not her company and so I'm sure the word never got passed up that they have a problem with the manufacture. It is in India by the way, not that this is a problem, but if I were buying from this supplier, we'd have a little come to Jesus meeting about quality. How you continue to send out a product that doesn't work I don't know. As for quality time will tell. Bottom line, if you love the look, just be prepared to deal with constant returns and issues. And you'll never really know how much you've paid until you sit down and do all of the addition and subtractions when your buying this much furniture. I just hope it last enough years to get my money's worth!

Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. Agree that RH has issues delivering with delivering everything correctly.

However, in the end they always get it right. We have $100k worth of RH furniture and they have consistently gone the extra mile every time to make sure we are 100% satisfied including things like replacing worn couch pillow free a few years later.

Non-delivery of paid for items and overcharging for undelivered items

I am a physician who as an anniversary gift for my wife bought her a dining room set from Restoration. Order #1026**** Belgian Slope Arm Slipcovered Armchair Belgian Ladderback Upholstered Side Chair Salvaged Wood & Concrete Trestle Rectangular Dining Table Unfortunately, this ended up being one of the worst retail experiences I have ever had. I ordered 10 dining chairs and a trestle table totaling $7000. Almost four months later I have received the chairs and yet no table. I've called over eight times to the customer service center with promises of "making things right." And yet, I still have a bunch of chairs and no table to go with it. The company has no explanation for their multiple bungles. To make things worse, the company has overcharged me over $1500 on the order. While I appreciate the customer service agents kind demeanor and verbal willingness to help the customer, ultimately they and the company fail miserably on execution. I highly recommend not buying anything from Restoration Hardware that you cannot carry out of the store yourself.

Restoration Hardware - Lampshade Review from Penticton, British Columbia

Ordered a lampshade. RH sent me the wrong shade. Bought the shade just prior to moving. Shade went into storage. When I discovered it was incorrect I contacted them. Made to feel like a second class citizen. Worst service EVER! They would refund the $80 for the shade but would not cover shipping which was $80?! Unbelievable. Just goes to show you that they don't stand behind their products or their service. Shameful! I wish I could return my $10,000 restoration couch set just to make a point. I will never purchase from RH again. I was once loyal but no more
