Delay on receiving furniture

I order a bed and they explained to me that it will be ready in 2months. Needless to say 4 months have passed and Today I got an email that it will not be shipped for another 6mos! They have horrible customer service, after multiple attempts no one has contacted me. They took my money and are ignoring my calls! Crooks!

I ACCOMPANIED A FRIEND TO TO LOOK FOR A CERTAIN KIND OF FURNITURE PIECE, FIRST HE TRIED TO TALK WITH A GENTLE MAN NAMED ALEXIS WHO WAS NOT VERY BUSINESSLIKE, DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING, AND QUITE FRANKLY VERY LAZY, AND SHADY LOOKING.A HUGE WHINING JACK ASS.NOT VERY BUSINESS LIKE.MY FRIEND DECIDED TO SHOP ELSEWHERE. I am requesting that RH repair a tear in the leather sectional sofa I purchased less than two years ago. RH does not offer a standard warranty based on their contention that their products are quality luxury items, and I believe the logic from there is that there will not be any defects or issues needing repairs, etc. A small corner of the sectional that I purchased is coming undone. It appears as if it was not properly sewn to begin with on the actual sofa underneath the cushion. RH will not agree to have this repaired.

"an unfriendly rep who proceeded to tell me that the damage in the photos I sent was 'customer inflicted'." Because those circles in the photos were clearly caused by glasses not being placed on coasters. Meaning that whoever in your family put those glasses down inflicted that damage.

It even tells you in the product details the wood is unfinished. Why would you put glasses with no coasters down on unfinished wood?

Inferior quality

I have shopped at restoration hardware for years, noticeably the quality is far inferior to a few years ago. I got ultra faux fur throws as gifts, they were nothing like the quality I got just 2 years ago. I am not sure if it is a money saving tactic, getting rid of the huge wasteful catalogs would probably save more money than switching to inferior vendors

Unethical business conduct and terrible supply chain management

We were told that dinning chairs we ordered were custom made and will be ready to be shipped by end of July. When we wanted to change the order 2 weeks after placing the order, the in-store sales rep informed us that products were ready to be shipped so couldn't make any changes. We then decided to stick with the original order. While we received our dinning table, we found out dinning chairs were not shipped together and they were actually back ordered till October! No one has told us this information. If we were known that the chairs will be back order, we would not have ordered them at the first place! This is really unethical business conduct! We called customer service for 3 times in 2 days and no one could tell us what is going on. I had to call 4th time to strongly express my dissatisfaction and they agreed to send loaner chairs. However, these loaner chairs were only available in 2-3 weeks. I had to insist getting them asap, then they decided to accelerate the shipment so I can get then within a week. I called every day after, and guess what every day I was told a different delivery timeline. It's been one week, we have not seen any loaner chairs and no one can tell us when we can get them. We have been sitting on sofa having dinner! They are doing a great job testing your limit! This gotta be the worst furniture shopping experience or retail experience I have ever had! I will strongly recommend anyone NOT to buy from this company. Their design is great but with the amount of money they charge plus unbelievable bad service, it is a complete rip off!

DO NOT buy @ Restoration Hardware - They will rip you off

RH showroom is beautiful but that's where the 'nice' rating stops. The customer service phone support is useless- I was on hold for 30 minutes with zero solution. For more than 10 years, I have purchased linen curtains that are meant to literally last a lifetime. Restoration Hardware policy implies that they are only meant to last a few years. I always purchase no less than 5 panels of the Belgian linen panels and the sheer linen did not wear equally. The quality is questionable, the customer service lacking. Perhaps Restoration Hardware should label their products 'disposable"? "Me thinks NOT"! Do not buy from Restoration Hardware... they will rip you off.

I can tell you RH does not have a warranty policy.

They simply 'stand behind their products'. If they feel those drapes are only meant to last 3 years that is how long they will offer a replacement for. If they feel they are meant to last 1 year that is it.

There is nothing on their website to imply a specific warranty period. This is the same for PotteryBarn, Williams-Sonoma, and many companies that sell this same kind of merchandise so it isn't just RH.

Restoration Hardware Customer Care Review from Auburn, California

For Christmas 2014, I had ordered 14 faux fur blankets online and feverishly attempted to make sure that each one had its own box with a ribbon for a holiday gift. I was extremely specific with my order and called the customer service to follow up. The customer service rep says that they have to consolidate all of the blankets as much as possible for shipping. I said, "wait a minute, I am paying for all the shipping and all of the boxes, so you are saying to me, you are over charging me for the request for the gift boxes for each blanket as a gift, and not wrapping them separately, and condensing the shipment, but charging me for the shipping weight as if you are? And the rep responded to "yes this is company policy to be green and conserve." I am thinking, ripping off customers and stealing from them is called conservation and going green? After some serious head banging with this ***, I spoke with a supervisor and explained and repeated what the rep had said to me, and if I could have seen her face along with the tone of her voice, she probably would have been vomiting at the same time. I suppose that is an inside rule not to be repeated. LOL. So, I received all gift boxes for free, all wrapped with bows and free shipping on all 14 packages, which were quite huge too! Take one for the team RH!!! You seem to hire incompetence and rip off artists... Shame on you for deliberately ripping customers off, you are a pathetic excuse for a business and straight up thieves, no better than Bernie Madoff the "American Fraudster", ironically fitting for RH.

Don't buy curtains from the Restoraton Hardware Outlet. They are so uneven. The curtains are suppose to be 84 inches long. In reality, they range from 83-1/2 to 85-1/2. The Ivory curtains also look yellow in the light. You can't return items to the store either...

Hence why the curtains were sold in an outlet store, because they were defective. That's why they are Final Sale in an outlet store and cannot be returned, because they are items with defects and sold as is.

Nightmare company! Three month ordeal that is still not resolved.

Purchased a bathroom vanity cabinet and marble top. After receiving a defective marble top it was re-ordered and this time I received a broken backsplash. Upon re order I finally received a marble top and backplash that was all in one piece only to discover the basin does not fit onto the cabinet. Another sink was ordered and it also does not fit. Finally convinced the store manager to come to my house tomorrow and access the situation. Their delivery company did not perform the white glove set up they advertise and their customer service is some of the worst I have ever experienced. My husband and I have used countless hours of our vacation time waiting only to receive damaged goods. Not to mention the hours of time on the phone, emailing pictures, stress and sleeplessness. I sent a certified letter to Mr. Gary Friedman CEO which I tracked was delivered and have not received as much as a phone call. Oh, did I mention the $900.00 overcharge? Stay tuned for the outcome. I don't have very high expectations.

Damaged and missing furniture

I spent almost $10,000.00 on a bedroom set, a dining room set and accessories. The bedroom nightstand missing upon arrival and the delivery guy was more upset about him getting in trouble and didn't really care about me; no one knew where it was. After several phone calls and complaints, and weeks they finally decided to ship me another one. 2 out of 4 of my dining chairs were broken upon arrival. They were supposed to ship with my table per their website including "white glove" delivery, but they sent them via UPS, poorly packaged and damaged upon arrival. I also purchased a Gramaphone online and the neck was damaged and inside of speaker was all scratched up. Never again will I purchase anything from them. Asked to be taken off of all mailing and phone lists. Don't buy from them unless you personally take it home from the store and see it for yourself.
