Restoration Hardware - Bathroom fixtures are horribly made and break!
DO NOT BUY ANY BATHROOM FIXTURES FROM THIS STORE or online! They are pieces of *** and they DO NOT stand by their products! I just had to replace a $600 shower set. I was unable to go to Home Depot and buy a Kohler or Delta product because the shower head and inter pieces are already installed. I am stuck with the one I bought originally. I also had to throw away the matching vanity fixture as they broke as well! Another $600 down the drain. And that doesn't cover labor and the new faucet I had to buy!
While RH products look nice - they don't work well and definitely DO NOT last!!!!!
I bought the Modern set for both my bathroom vanity and shower.
I will never buy from RH again.

I wish I had seen this. I've spent thousands of dollars on their bathroom fixtures and from day one have had nothing but issues.
The stems inside handle are cheap and already broke causing water to flood bathroom. The shower head wasn't working properly either.
I bought the Lugano line which is a brass tech or Newport brass item. This is going to cost me a lot of money to replace and I'm sick over it.
Yes. This company is a nightmare.
We outfitted two of our bathrooms. Their sales people don't understand the products. They sell you the wrong stuff. And it doesn't work.
Customer support is non-existent. I'm on my fourth year of runaround with my shower, which hasn't worked since installation four years ago. I have spent many hundreds of dollars on plumbers to diagnose problems.
And RH's people simply don't help. There is no accountability and zero responsiveness.
That helps a lot, thanks.
It's a long story. But the fixtures never really worked correctly from the beginning. The handles didn't turn correctly. I had other issues with the shower and it wasn't used for 18 months due to a surgery I had and couldn't deal with fixing the shower. So they sat idle for that period of time. As I began to use the fixtures, finally, one of the knobs/handles on the sink vanity completely broke off. The shower handle was so hard to turn, you almost couldn't get the water on.
I would say the sink fixture worked OK for about 3-4 months. The shower fixture about the same.
Hope that helps.
I was just curious how long you'd had these fixtures for before they broke. Was it years or months or days?
